Jerry “J-Man” Joyner has spent more than fifty years in sales — from mowing yards and peddling wire jewelry as a boy in Louisiana to school photography, mobile homes, oilfield equipment, and three decades in Dallas printing and reprographics, where clients knew him as “the Color Man.”
In 2012, when CNN Money went looking for one entrepreneur who embodied the Texas way of doing business, the Dallas chamber sent them to Jerry, and his line about deals done “on a spit and a handshake” made the story.
Today he and his wife, Sara Beth, run HealthCare Art Consulting, putting art on the walls of hospitals across the country, and Jerry hosts Find Your Bright Side, where he does what he does best: asks people questions and helps them find the light.
He is a proud Texan by way of Oklahoma and Louisiana, a devoted husband, and a man who still believes the best thing you can leave in a room is the way people feel when they hear your name.
